Busch Gardens opened in Tampa, Florida in 1959 as an Anheuser-Busch destination famous for its extensive tropical bird aviary, with the Williamsburg, Virginia park following in 1975. This scalloped souvenir bowl centers the iconic Anheuser-Busch A and Eagle trademark, adopted by Adolphus Busch in 1872, on a black ground, surrounded by paneled scenes of parrots, macaws, pelicans, toucans, and hummingbirds drawn from the park's bird collection. The scalloped rim carries Dorothy Frances Gurney's beloved 1913 verse from God's Garden: "The kiss of the sun for pardon, the song of the birds for mirth, one is nearer God's heart in a garden than anywhere else on earth," making this Anheuser-Busch Busch Gardens souvenir glass bowl from the 1960s to 1970s a wonderful piece of theme park and brewery history.
