Gorham is a silversmithing company that was founded in 1831 in Providence, Rhode Island. Although the company continuously changed names throughout its lifetime, Gorham at one point was one of the largest silver establishments in America. Gorham also gained immense respect and acclaim after acquiring one of its most famous clients; Mary Todd Lincoln. She chose a collection of flatware for the White House and business for the silver company boomed. This sterling silver Gorham antique mirror is from 1887 and the twelfth piece made of this style.
