The utilization of watercolors in art is nearly timeless, tracing back to primitive times. Artists would grind materials from fruits, vegetables, or clay to create natural pigments. However, in 1780, William Reeves reportedly introduced the modern watercolor palette, selling dry cakes that could be dampened for painting. This particular artwork originates from the late 1800s, though the artist remains unidentified.
