L.G. Wright Glass Company was founded in 1937 by Lawrence George Wright, who initially worked as a salesman for various glass companies, including New Martinsville Glass and Westmoreland Glass. Once established, L.G. Wright Glass Company focused on reproducing antique glass patterns and creating original designs, becoming renowned for its carnival glass, pressed glass, and hand-painted glassware. However, the company faced challenges and eventually ceased operations in the 1990s, leaving behind a legacy of collectible and cherished glassware. This L. G. Wright Eye Winker blue short vase, also referred to as a spooner, is from the 1960s to 1970s.
