Mid Century Green Glass Swung Vase

Swung vases gained prominence as a favored glassware style during the mid-20th century. Crafted through a technique known as "swinging" or "stretching," these vases are formed by gathering molten glass on a blowpipe and then gently swinging or stretching it during the blowing process, resulting in an elongated and asymmetrical shape. This graceful swinging motion imparts each vase with its distinctive, one-of-a-kind curves and form. The green glass swung vase dates back to the 1960s to 1970s, exemplifying the era's unique glassmaking craftsmanship.
