In 1875, in North Attleboro, Massachusetts, E.A. Bliss and J.H. Carpenter founded The E.A. Bliss Company, specializing in silverware and other metal products. However, in 1922, they ventured into costume jewelry and brought in James Napier. Under Napier's leadership, the company shifted its focus to costume jewelry and later became known as the Napier-Bliss Company. The period from the 1950s to the 1970s marked a significant era of growth for Napier, where they embraced the fashion trends of the time and created some of their most iconic and collectible pieces.
