The term "rhinestone" originates from the glittering natural quartz stones discovered near the banks of the Rhine River in Austria. Rhinestones have a history dating back to the thirteenth century and were initially crafted from blown glass. These crawler earrings, adorned with glass and rhinestones, are from the 1950s to 1960s.
