Napier Gold Draping Leaf Necklace
Whitney and Rice was founded in 1875, having manufactured men's watches and sterling silver objects during its earlier years. When James Napier became President of the company in the early 1920s, they began producing jewelry and renamed the company Napier. In the 1950s, Napier gifted an elephant bracelet to First Lady Eisenhower. She wore the bracelet so often, that you can easily spot it on her wrist in photos during her husband's presidency. This gold leaf Napier necklace is from the 1980s.
