Orange and Gold Celluloid Marbled Earrings
Celluloid is a transparent or semi-transparent plastic made from camphor and nitrocellulose, and was once used for cinematographic films. Celluloid was one of the first synthetic plastics made dating back to the 1860s and 1870s. Of the many benefits, celluloid can be molded to mimic mother-of-pearl, tortoiseshell, amber or coral and can even be recycled over and over again unlike other plastics. These orange celluloid earrings are from the 1950s to 1960s.
