Anne Klein was born on August 3, 1923, in Brooklyn, New York. Alongside her husband, she co-founded the Anne Klein & Co. fashion label in 1968. The brand had swiftly gained recognition for its modern yet sophisticated clothing designs, particularly women's sportswear, becoming an influential player in American fashion during the 1970s. Anne Klein introduced her costume jewelry couture line in the early 1970s, adding elegance and glamour to the brand's overall aesthetic. Even after her untimely death in 1974 due to battling breast cancer, Anne Klein's legacy endures as her fashion empire has continued to evolve and expand. This Anne Klein lucite bracelet, labeled with the extremely rare Couture tag, originates from the 1970s to early 1980s.
