Viking Glass originated from New Martinsville Glass after it went bankrupt and sold, then in 1944 Viking Glass was officially formed. It was during the 1950s when Viking introduced vibrant colors into their collections and instantly the striking hues became a great success. Viking closed its doors in 1984 and had a short revival incorporated through another well known glass company, Fostoria. This magnificent Viking Six Petal Swung vase is from the 1960s and still has its original brand sticker intact.
