Westmoreland Amber Argonaut Nautilus Candy Dish

The Westmoreland Glass Company was founded in 1889 in Grapeville, Pennsylvania, United States. It initially produced utilitarian glassware such as bottles, jars, and lamp chimneys. Over time, the company expanded its product line to include decorative glassware, such as tableware, vases, and figurines. The nautilus design of this jar was inspired by the mythological figure of the Argonaut, who was associated with seafaring and adventure. This Westmoreland Argonaut candy dish is from the 1960s to 1970s.
