Founded in 1889 in Grapeville, Pennsylvania, Westmoreland Glass Company became a prominent name in the glass industry, specializing in the production of high-quality milk glass, pressed and carnival glass. The company's rich heritage spans over a century, and it played a significant role in the American glass manufacturing landscape, particularly during the mid-20th century. Westmoreland Glass Company ceased its operations in 1984, marking the end of an era for this iconic glassware producer. This Westmoreland blue opalescent hobnail oval dish is from the 1970s to 1980s.
